This line is currently set up for complete machining operations of an aluminum transmission case. Setup for one-man operation, the cell consists of 12 Makino A66 high-speed machining centers in a figure eight layout and workflow. Each side of the cell consists of 6 machines with load and unload stations. Operations 20 - 70 are machined on either side of the cell and perform all the required milling, boring, drilling, reaming, tapping etc. on all faces of the case.
